Dashed To Shivers ist eine Band aus dem Münsterland, die es schafft, eine einmalige Symbiose aus 80er-Jahre-Synthesizern, Indierock und Screamo zu erzeugen. Daraus entstehen Songs die eindringliche Refrains und Melodien enthalten, die immer wieder auch durch härtere Parts durchbrochen werden. Das Repertoire der vier Musiker ist ebenso vielseitig, wie ihre unterschiedlichen musikalischen Einflüsse, die von Bluesrock über atmosphärische Filmmusik bis hin zu Post-Hardcore, Metal und Punkrock reichen.

Im Jahr 2018 gründeten Dominik (Gitarre) und Steve (Schlagzeug) die Band. Wenig später stieß André (Gitarre) zum Bandprojekt dazu und erweiterte das Duo. Die Anfangsphase war von der Suche nach dem passenden Musikgenre und einem stetigen Kommen und Gehen anderer Bandmitglieder geprägt. Da sich aber niemand langfristig finden ließ, entschied man sich dafür, das Fehlen durch Synthsounds zu kompensieren und stieß damit unbewusst die Tür für den heutigen einmaligen Sound der Gruppe auf.

Drei Jahre nach der Gründung erschien mit „Fragments“ der erste Longplayer. Ein weiteres Jahr später schloss man sich dem Punkrock-Indielabel „Monasteria Records“ an.

Der Einstieg bei „Monasteria Records“ sollte aber nicht die einzige Veränderung im Jahr 2022 bleiben. Im Sommer 2022 stieß Sebastian (Gesang) zur Band und erweiterte die Gruppe am Gesang.

Vor dem Hintergrund der neuen Formation wurde direkt mit der Arbeit an neuen Stücken angefangen, die in den Singles „Miracle of Life“, „Echoes“ und „Hollywood“ mündeten. Die Songs erschienen allesamt im Jahr 2023. Die ersten beiden Stücke schafften es bald ins Radio. So lief der Song „Miracle of Life“, zu dem es auch das erste Musikvideo der Bandgeschichte gibt (siehe YouTube), unter anderem auf dem Radiosender WDR 2.

Im Anschluss an die Releases folgten viele Gigs und man teilte sich die Bühnen NRWs mit Bands wie Smackbeat, The Late Night Call, Fool the Masses und vielen weiteren.

2024 veröffentlichte das Quartett ihre vierte Single „Strawberry Shots“ als Silent Release auf YouTube. Am 21.02.2025 folgte das zweite Album der vier Münsterländer „Undertow“. Es ist die erste LP mit dem Sänger Sebastian Kavermann und enthält insgesamt 13 Songs. Zu der LP sind fünf Musikvideos über YouTube veröffentlicht worden, "Forgotten Zone", "Cobras in Fire", "Undertow", "Soylent Green" und "Every Second".

Anfang 2025 löste sich das Label Monasteria Records aus persönlichen Gründen auf, womit auch die Zusammenarbeit mit Dashed to Shivers endete.

Dashed To Shivers is a band from Münsterland that manages to create a unique symbiosis of 80s synths, indie rock and screamo. A mixture of haunting choruses and harmonious melodies, which are repeatedly interrupted by harder parts. The four musicians' repertoire is just as varied as their different musical influences, which range from blues rock and atmospheric film music to post-hardcore, metal and punk rock.

Dominik (guitar) and Steve (drums) founded the band in 2018. A little later, André (guitar) joined the band project and expanded the duo. The initial phase was characterized by the search for the right musical genre and the constant coming and going of other band members. However, as no one could be found for the long term, the decision was made to compensate for the absence with synth sounds, thus unknowingly opening the door to the group's unique sound today.

Three years after the band was founded, the first longplayer “Fragments” was released. Another year later, they joined the punk rock indie label “Monasteria Records”.

Joining “Monasteria Records” was not to be the only change in 2022. In the summer of 2022, Sebastian (vocals) joined the band and expanded the group on vocals.

Against the backdrop of the new formation, work began immediately on new songs, which resulted in the singles “Miracle of Life”, “Echoes” and “Hollywood”, all of which were released in 2023. The first two songs soon made it onto the radio. The song “Miracle of Life”, which also features the first music video in the band's history (see YouTube), was played on radio station WDR2, among others.

The releases were followed by many live performances and gigs and they shared the stages of NRW with bands such as Smackbeat, The Late Night Call, Fool the Masses, Schwach and many more.

In 2024, the quartet released their fourth single, “Strawberry Shots,” as a silent release on YouTube. On February 21, 2025, the four Münsterland natives followed up with their second album, “Undertow.” It is the first LP featuring singer Sebastian Kavermann and contains a total of 13 songs. Five music videos have been released on YouTube to accompany the LP: “Forgotten Zone,” “Cobras in Fire,” “Undertow,” “Soylent Green,” and “Every Second.”

At the beginning of 2025, the label Monasteria Records disbanded for personal reasons. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gerrit for his many years of work and organization of gigs.
